The ICM Falk Foundation’s Approach

The ICM Falk Foundation is a private family foundation with a strong legacy of supporting innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship.

What?

300,000,000 tons of plastic waste are produced globally/year.

80% ends up in landfills or the environment and only 9% gets recycled.

Why?

We will have more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050. Governments around the world have joined the Global Plastic Action Partnership network to effectively address this concern.

How?

We will be supporting Asia's innovation capacity to reduce plastics reliance and waste.

We Need To Rethink
The Way We Use Plastic

Over 1 million plastic bottles are sold across the world every minute, but less than half of these bottles are being recycled. Meanwhile, 5 trillion single-use plastic bags are used each year, with the vast majority discarded only to endlessly circulate the Earth's oceans.

Around the world, one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute, while up to 5 trillion single-use plastic bags are used worldwide every year. In total, half of all plastic produced is designed to be used only once — and then thrown away.
